Rain forest and mountain views

We were on the road at 7am today, got on the freeway just fine this time! Drove inland to Lamington National park. Did a 5k hike on an aboriginal cave circuit, had a wonderful lunch at the cafe that seemed perched in the treetops. The rainforest here is very old, many many centuries-old trees. One in the park was MATURE when Captain Cook first arrived here! Then we drove through some cute mountain towns, with such incredible views: east to the ocean, and west over a vast expanse of mountain range. Did some wine tasting on the way and stopped at a cheese factory. We did see our first small wallaby in the wild, he hopped right over the trail behind us! How cool is that?
