EATING LOCALLY

Brocolli from our planter box, asparagus from ?

Salmon from the river outside the front door, stuffed with herbs from my garden

Sweet corn from Olathe, hour and a half away from here

Elk tenderloin (before grilling!) from last season's hunt in Mesa County, wrapped in bacon that is
most definitely NOT from here!!

A few family members gathered here last week, and we had one of the most delicious dinners.  Most of the food came from right here in Colorado, some of it from right outside our door!  Fall is in the air, and it's my very favorite time in the Gunnison Valley.
